The oral arguments in the Degan case before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, New Orleans, LA, has been cancelled.

The case, which focuses on the annuitization of individual DROP accounts and restricting retiree access to those accounts, had been scheduled for March 12, 2019.

We do not know why. Apparently the court has decided they have enough info to make a decision in the Degan case without oral arguments so they canceled them. We do not know if this is good or bad for us, said acting DPROA president Dwight Walker. We will keep you posted once more information becomes available.
